
Marlies Drop Game One against Grand Rapids

The Grand Rapids Griffins defeated the Toronto Marlies by a score of 7-0 tonight to take a 1-0 lead in the Western Conference Semi-Final.
Grand Rapids would open up a 2-0 lead in the first period on goals from Mitch Callahan and Chad Billins. The Griffins doubled their lead in the middle frame on tallies from Teemu Pulkkinen and Tomas Tatar. Grand Rapids would seal the victory with three more goals in the third period.
Game two of the best-of-seven series will be played tomorrow afternoon at Ricoh Coliseum. Puck drop is 3 p.m. Tickets are still available and can be purchased by calling the team's ticket line at 416-597-PUCK (7825).
