Chiefs Announce Highlights for Upcoming Homestand

The Syracuse Chiefs, the Triple-A affiliate of the Washington Nationals, will take on the Norfolk Tides and Columbus Clippers in a pair of four-game series scheduled at NBT Bank Stadium from May 10-17. Promotions scheduled for the homestand include the team's annual Armed Forces Celebration, a Knot Hole Gang Day featuring free food and free face painting for kids, and the all-new $5 per Carload Night.

Friday, May 10 (7:00 pm vs. Norfolk): Join the Chiefs for a showcase concert from Nashville recording artist Parker Bradway in the Hank Sauer Room from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm. The concert, sponsored by B104.7, will benefit the Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball Team. Special event tickets can be purchased for $20 each good for admission to both the concert and the game. Fans already holding tickets to the game can purchase tickets to the concert for $15 at the door.

Friday night also doubles as AAA Safety Patrol Night at NBT Bank Stadium. Complimentary Level 300 General Admission tickets are available to AAA Safety Patrol students. A pre-game ceremony will be held to recognize students on the field.

Saturday, May 11 (2:00 pm vs. Norfolk): The Chiefs will kick off an all-day Armed Forces Celebration on Saturday morning when the Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball Team takes the field against a local celebrity team sponsored by Fuccillo Nissan. First pitch for the softball game is scheduled for 10:30 am and admission to the softball game is free.

The Armed Forces Celebration will continue with military vehicles and equipment on display in the stadium parking lot beginning at 12:00 noon. An M9 Reaper, a WWII Hummer, the Air Force rock climbing wall, and a video gaming vehicle will be among the displays for fans to enjoy. Chiefs players and coaches will wear special "Stars & Stripes" jerseys and hats during the game.

Young professionals are invited to enjoy the game together and purchase Reserved tickets for $9 each (regular price $12) through a special Young Professionals Day link provided by 40 Below, Syracuse First, or Centerstate CEO.

Sunday, May 12 (2:00 pm vs. Norfolk): On Mother's Day, all moms will receive free admission and the first 150 mothers through the gates will receive a Chiefs hat compliments f Custom Logo and a flower compliments of Marge Polito Florist. The mother of the family who posts their "most spirited Chiefs family" picture on twitter or Instagram will be selected to throw out the game's ceremonial first pitch. Use #chiefsmom when posting.

Sunday will also be a Knot Hole Gang Day at the ballpark. Members of the Chiefs' free kids club will receive one free drink provided by Coca-Cola, one free Hofmann hot dog, and one free Perry's ice cream. There will also be free face painting on the concourse during the game and kids are invited to run the bases on the field with their moms after the game. Knot Hole Gang membership is open to all children 12 & younger. Parents can register their children online at SyracuseChiefs.com or at the guest services table at any Chiefs home game.

Monday, May 13 (12:00 pm vs. Norfolk): Skip work and join the Chiefs for a Business Day special for the series finale against Norfolk. Present your business card at the ticket office to receive a buy-one-get-one free Field Box or Reserved ticket to bring a client or fellow employee out to the ballpark for the noon start.

Fans can also receive a complimentary General Admission ticket for the game by p resenting a program from their place of worship OR a civic organization at the Chiefs ticket office for The Promotion Formerly Known as Church Bulletin Day.

Tuesday, May 14 (7:00 pm vs. Columbus): Couples can enjoy a night at the ballpark on Tuesday by purchasing a Newlywed Night package of two Reserved tickets, two sodas, and two hot dogs for $40. Couples can enter on the concourse for a chance to win a spot in our "newlywed game" on the field between innings with the winning couple receiving a free one-night stay at the Jefferson Clinton Hotel in Downtown Syracuse. Engagement and wedding photos sent to Desiree Ellison at desiree@syracusechiefs.com will be displayed on the scoreboard during the game.

Wednesday, May 15 (7:00 pm vs. Columbus): Present your Dunkin' Donuts Reloadable Card at the Chiefs ticket office on Dunkin' Donuts Reloadable Card Night to purchase Reserved Seat tickets for $9 each (regular price $12).

Thursday, May 16 (7:00 pm vs. Columbus): Load all of your family members and friends into your vehicle and come out to the ballpark for $5 Per Carload Night on Thursday. Fans will pay $5 for parking and everyone in the car will receive one voucher for a Field Box or Reserved ticket to the game.

During the game, Chiefs players and coaches will wear special "throwback" jerseys for this season's first Throwback Thursday. The jerseys are replicas of those worn by the team from 1983 to 1986.

Friday, May 17 (7:00 pm vs. Columbus): The homestand will conclude with Little League Night #1 and Rural/Metro EMS Night on Friday. Complimentary tickets were distributed to District 8 Little Leaguers and by Rural/Metro Medical Services.

Tickets for the eight games during the homestand, along with all other Chiefs home games, can be purchased online at SyracuseChiefs.com, where fans can use the team's new ticketing system to select their seats online and print their tickets from home. Tickets can also be purchased by calling 315-474-7833 or in person at the Chiefs ticket office.
