HOUSTON (Wednesday, May 8, 2013) - The Houston Dynamo will finish their cross-country road trip tonight against D.C. United at RFK Stadium in Washington, D.C., in the second of three meetings scheduled between the clubs this year. The game, slated to kick off at 6 p.m. CT, is a rematch of the 2012 Eastern Conference Championship, a 4-2 aggregate series victory for Houston.
Tonight's game will be broadcast live on Comcast SportsNet 2, Mega TV (Spanish), Yahoo Sports Radio 1560 AM and La Ranchera 850 AM (Spanish).
After Sunday's 1-0 road win over the Los Angeles Galaxy, the Dynamo will try to finish a successful road trip tonight against D.C. United. Houston is 8-1-2 in its last 11 meetings with United, including a 2-0 home win on March 2 in the opening game of the season.
The Dynamo (5-2-2; 17 points) are in a four-way tie for first place in the Eastern Conference with the New York Red Bulls (5-4-2; 17 points), Sporting Kansas City (5-3-2; 17 points) and Montreal Impact (5-1-2; 17 points). D.C. United (1-6-1; 4 points) is in tenth place in the Eastern Conference, after dropping its fifth consecutive game on April 27 at Columbus.
In their 2-0 win on March 2, Houston seized a late lead on a D.C. United own goal before Ricardo Clark scored to seal the win. The clubs will meet for a third time on the final day of the regular season at RFK Stadium.
United features former Dynamo midfielder Dwayne De Rosario, the 2011 MLS MVP who reached 100 career goals and 300 career MLS appearances last season. United also features 2012 MLS Best XI selection Chris Pontius.
The Dynamo return home on Sunday to face Sporting Kansas City at 7 p.m. CT at BBVA Compass Stadium in yet another playoff rematch. Tickets for the match are still available through www.houstondynamo.com and 713-276-GOAL.
