Connecticut Waives Prins and Smith

UNCASVILLE, Conn. (May 9, 2013) - The Connecticut Sun announced today it has waived rookies Anna Prins and Andrea Smith.
The Sun now have 14 players on their roster following these transactions.
Prins was a 6-foot-7 center selected with the 23rd overall pick in the second round the 2013 WNBA Draft out of Iowa State. Smith was taken in the third round with the 35th overall pick.
The Connecticut Sun will open its 11th season at Mohegan Sun Arena on May 25th against the New York Liberty at 7 p.m. Season tickets and mini plans are on sale now, and can be reserved by calling a Sun Ticket Representative at 1.877.SUN.TIXX (786-8499) or via e-mail at tickets@connecticutsun.com.
