Kitchener Rangers News Release

The Kitchener Rangers are proud to support KidsAbility. Join us on Friday, May 10 for the Kids Can't Wait Radiothon and make a pledge to help local children succeed!

The Kids Can't Wait Radiothon is KidsAbility's largest fundraiser of the year that raises much-needed funds and awareness in support of KidsAbility. KidsAbility empowers thousands of children and youth with special needs in Waterloo Region and Wellington County. Last year, this event raised over $225,000 to support programs and services at KidsAbility.

Fans are invited to visit the Rangers at Conestoga Mall between 5:00pm - 6:00pm. Some of your favourite players will be on hand for autographs and pictures and we will be collecting donations for KidsAbility. Make your donation at the Rangers' table and be entered into a raffle for a Rangers jersey or one of three Blackberry Playbooks.

Along with media partners CHYM 96.7, KIX 106.7, 570 News and Rogers TV, KidsAbility will be broadcasting live from KidsAbility and Conestoga Mall in Waterloo. Listeners are invited to donate to the Kids Can't Wait Radiothon on May 10th from 5am to 6pm to make a difference in the life of a child. The Kitchener Rangers' sponsored hour will run from 7:00 - 8:00am and we encourage listeners to tune in and hear heart-warming stories from the families who benefit from KidsAbility's services, volunteers that dedicate their time to making a difference and the dedicated staff at KidsAbility.

Rangers staff will also participate in the 2013 PlasmaCar Race Friday morning, competing in a relay style race to help to raise funds to provide therapy and support services to children and youth with special needs.
