SHOTS FROM THE POINT:
Home Sweet Home: After back-to-back overtime defeats in Reading this past weekend, the Cyclones will return to the friendly confines of U.S. Bank Arena for three games over the next six days. On Wednesday night, the Cyclones will host Game 3 featuring $1 beers. Then, on Friday, fans can enjoy $3 Summer Shandy during Game 4 of the series. The Clones will close out the homestand on Saturday with Game 5 on Saturday night where fans ages 2-12 will receive a FREE meal courtesy of John Morrell.
A Record Approaches: With a two-goal night in Game 2 on Sunday, Cincinnati captain Mathieu Aubin pulled to within three points of the club's all-time scoring leader. His 48 tallies now rank two back of current leader Barrett Ehgoetz. And with both of his Sunday goals coming on the power play, Aubin tied alumnus Matt Syroczynski for 11 such markers - the club's all time high.
Pacan's Prowess: Cyclones forward David Pacan has been a steady force on offense this postseason. He leads the team and ranks third in the ECHL with 16 points (9 goals, 7 assists). He has notched tallies in five of his last six games and in all but four games this playoff year.
Who Wants Some Shots: The Clones have been ramping up their shots on goal numbers in this series. Through two games, they have outshot the Royals 100-73. Their 54 shots in Game 1 set a club record. Cincy has led in nine of their 14 games in this category.
