9 Grizzlies on NHL Playoff Rosters

West Valley City, Utah - 9 former Utah Grizzlies are on NHL playoff rosters as the 2013 run for the Stanley Cup opens Tuesday.

The Islanders Andrew MacDonald and New York Rangers forward Micheal Haley, who played with Utah as they advanced to the conference finals in 2007-2008, will both be making their Stanley Cup Playoff debuts this week.

Trevor Lewis, who played six games with Utah this past season, will be with Los Angeles as they begin their run to win back-to-back Stanley Cups starting Tuesday when the Kings open their first round series with St. Louis.

The only series putting two former Grizzlies against each other will be Washington against the New York Rangers as John Erskine (2000-2004) takes on Haley.

Colby Armstrong, who was signed by Utah during the NHL lockout, but did not play with the Grizzlies before the lockout ended, will be with Montreal coming off of their division championship as they open their first round series against Ottawa.

The Islanders are the only NHL team to have two former Grizzlies as MacDonald joins Islanders captain Mark Streit, who played with Utah during the 1999-2000 season.

Former Grizzlies bring 175 games of playoff experience into the 2013 Playoffs, with Todd Bertuzzi (Utah 1996-97) leading the way with 80 games under his belt as Detroit opens against Anaheim.

The Grizzlies will be hosting NHL Playoff Viewing Parties. Details will be announced prior to their dates.

-Todd Bertuzzi : Detroit Red Wings: With Utah during the 1996-1997 season.

-Micheal Haley : New York Rangers: With Utah during 2007-2008 season.

-Zenon Konopka : Minnesota Wild: With Utah during the 2003-2004 season.

-Trevor Lewis : Los Angeles Kings: With Utah during the 2012-2013 season.

-Andrew MacDonald: New York Islanders: With Utah during 2007-2008 season.

-Mark Streit : New York Islanders: With Utah during the 1999-2000 season.
