JUPITER, Fla. - Fueled by a two-hit performance from Austin Barnes, the Jupiter Hammerheads defeated the Palm Beach Cardinals 5-3 Friday night at Roger Dean Stadium.

Barnes singled home a run in his first at-bat on a line drive to right field in the first inning. He then hit a solo homer in the third before driving in his third run in the fourth on a sacrifice fly to left field.

The two-hit effort extended Barnes' hitting streak to six games, including four multi-hit efforts. During the streak, Barnes is hitting .458 (11-for-24). His .333 season average leads the team (minimum 30 at-bats).

Isaac Galloway and Ryan Goetz also had two-hit games in the Hammerheads win. Both of Galloway's hits were singles; each preceded a stolen base, his seventh and eighth of the season. Goetz dove in a run on a triple in the second inning and added a line drive single to center field in the fourth.

Jupiter scored at least one run in each of the first four innings.

RHP Jose Urena pitched five strong frames for Jupiter, allowing two earned runs on six hits and two walks. He threw 38 of his 67 pitches for strikes (57 percent) and touched 95 mph on the stadium radar gun.
