(EVANSVILLE, INDIANA) - The Evansville Otters are bringing back two players with the re-signing of infielder Luis Parache and trading for right-handed pitcher Mark Willinsky on Monday.

Parache joined the Otters last June where he hit .250 with four home runs and 25 runs batted in. He led the team with 24 stolen bases and manager Andy McCauley enjoys Parache's overall abilities.

"Luis can play all three infield positions very well and is a tough out at the plate," said McCauley. "Luis had a great year stealing bases for us last year and we are excited to have him coming back."

Parache played four seasons in the New York Yankees organization from 2007-2010 and he also played for the Rockford RiverHawks, another Frontier League team, in 2011.

Willinsky joins Evansville to complete a previous trade from the San Angelo Colts of the United League. The former 15th round pick of the Milwaukee Brewers was 9-6 last year with a 4.36 earned run average over 19 starts. He will re-join the Otters where he was a reliever in 2011 and held a 0.71 earned run average.

"Mark threw very well for us in the short time of 12 games," McCauley added. "He is coming off a good year with the Colts as a starter and we will see how he best fits with us this spring."

The Otters will be having an exhibition game that benefits Jacob's Village on Friday, May 10 against the Southern Illinois Miners . First pitch will be at 6:35 p.m. CDT at historic Bosse Field . Tickets are $4 for general admission or $6 for reserve seats. All ticket proceeds will go to local charity Jacob's Village. The Evansville Otters season starts on Friday, May 17 against the Normal CornBelters . The year will feature 51 home games including seven scheduled doubleheaders at Historic Bosse Field.

Season tickets are already on sale and can be ordered by calling the Evansville Otters front office at (812) 435-8686.
