Idaho Falls Chukars News Release
Idaho Falls - The Idaho Falls Chukars announced today a new member of the Chukars Broadcast team. Chris Lewis will take over the duties as Road Radio Broadcaster, and will join John Balginy for all Chukars home games for the 2013 season. "I'm extremely grateful and thankful for this opportunity with Idaho Falls," stated Lewis. "I'm excited to be a part of such a hard working team."
Chris Lewis, from Magnolia, New Jersey, has been recognized as the 5th best College Broadcaster in America by Sportscasters Talent Agency of America. In the last two years, Lewis has done play-by-play announcing for the Bourne Braves of the Cape Cod Baseball League, and Camden Riversharks of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball.
Chris will graduate from Syracuse University in May. Throughout college, Chris has been involved with ESPN's Campus Connection as the Syracuse Bureau Chief, and an on-air play-by-play announcer for Syracuse University Football, Men's Basketball, and Lacrosse on WAER Radio. Lewis has also been involved with Syracuse University's all student run tv-network (CitrusTV) as an anchor, analyst, and executive producer.
The legendary voice of John Balginy will once again be heard through the airways this summer for all Chukars home broadcasts. All games will be broadcasted on ESPN 980 AM, 94.5 FM (Pocatello), and online on either www.ifchukars.com or MiLB.com. Fans may also check out the direct audio link for all games on the Chukars free mobile app; found on Google Play, and iTunes.
