Williamsport Crosscutters News Release

The Williamsport Crosscutters are proud to announce Charitable Tuesdays as a new community effort for the 2013 season.

This season, the Crosscutters will be spotlighting a local charity or non-profit organization at every Tuesday home game. The program will give one organization per Tuesday game the opportunity to have a presence at Historic Bowman Field for the purpose of educating Cutters' fans about their charity and mission.

"While we certainly are involved with a number of charities during our season and throughout the year, we thought adding this free opportunity might help some smaller, lesser known organizations get the word out," stated Sarah Budd, the team's Director of Community Relations.

The organization of the game will be provided display space in the concourse of Historic Bowman Field to help create awareness and distribute promotional literature and materials. The selling of items or collecting monetary donations in any form is not permitted.

In addition, each organization will receive the following to promote themselves during the game:

. On-field, pre-game interview to talk about the organization

. Ceremonial 1st Pitch by a representative of the organization

. In-game interview live on the Cutters' radio broadcast

. (4) reserved box seat tickets to the game

Dates are limited and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis to eligible charities. Interested organizations can register to participate in the Charitable Tuesdays program by contacting Sarah Budd at (570)326-3389 or by email at sarah@crosscutters.com.

The Crosscutters 15th anniversary season opens on June 18 at Historic Bowman Field. Season tickets, bonus books and group packages are currently available and can be purchased online at www.crosscutters.com or by calling the Cutters at (570) 326-3389.
