Boise Hawks News Release
BOISE, ID, - YOUR Boise Hawks are undergoing a mild facelift and brand refresh that will be released to the public April 1. The Hawks have worn the current colors and logos since 2007. The team marks will not change drastically but there is an addition of a much anticipated logo feature.
The updated logo reflects the current Boise Hawks brand and colors in a modern light. It has been designed to provide a more contemporary and playful, yet aggressive, feel to the uniform without losing YOUR Boise Hawks identity. This will mark the sixth time the Boise Hawks have changed their uniform style in the last 27 seasons.
"Going into this process we wanted to create a uniform that no other professional baseball team has ever worn," commented Todd Rahr, President and General Manager of the Hawks. "I think we have accomplished this and provided something to the Treasure Valley that will be uniquely their own."
The new look has been more than ten months in the making. It was created by Brandiose out of Las Vegas, the same branding company that developed the Hawks logo change in 2007. The company has developed logos and uniform designs for such teams as the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs and Richmond Flying Squirrels, two of the highest selling merchandisers in Minor League Baseball. In addition, Brandiose has designed the current Cincinnati Reds look.
All media are invited to the unveiling event April 1 at Big Al's in Meridian. The party starts at 12PM with the unveiling ceremony to take place at 12:30PM. MLB Opening Day games will be played on the big screens.
The Hawks began Northwest League play as an independent club from 1987-89. The team was affiliated with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim from 1990-2000 and have been with the Chicago Cubs since 2001. The club has won 6 NWL Championships, the most recent banner coming in 2004. Ticket packages for the 2013 season are on sale now by calling 208-322-5000, or by visiting www.boisehawks.com
