Sundogs Sweep Brahmas, 2-0 Win

Prescott Valley, AZ - The Arizona Sundogs swept the Ft. Worth Brahmas during a three game series in Prescott Valley Saturday night at Tim's Toyota Center in front of 4,256 fans, final score 2-0.

David Brown shutout the Ft. Worth Brahmas for the second straight night at Tim's Toyota Center while earning the Sundogs' first consecutive franchise shutout. Mario Larocque registered Arizona's first goal 5:21 into the middle frame with Johan Ryd and Sebastian Geoffrion tallying the assists.

With under a minute remaining in the third period the Brahmas pulled their goalie giving them the 5-on-6 man advantage but it was Jeff Kyrzakos who collected the second goal for the Sundogs on an open net, unassisted.

Arizona was outshot by the Brahmas 24-23, while both teams had two power plays but were unable to capitalize on the advantage. The Sundogs concluded their 2012-13 regular season Saturday night and have advanced to the playoff round. Playoff tickets are now on sale and their first home games will be held on April 2nd and 3rd at Tim's Toyota Center.
