
3rd Annual National Anthem Tryouts Set for April 6

TROY, NY- The Tri-City ValleyCats have partnered with Oldies 98.3 to host the 3rd Annual National Anthem tryouts on Saturday, April 6 at Crossgates Mall from 9 AM to 12:30 PM.
All interested performers should report to the lower level of Crossgates Mall near the Apple Store to register. Registration will begin at 9 AM with auditions set to begin at 9:30 AM. Auditions will be conducted on a first come-first go basis.
Contestants may choose to perform the National Anthem or God Bless America a capella. Performers may apply individually, as a group, or both.
The tryouts will be hosted by Jaime Roberts from the Jaime in the Morning Show on Oldies 98.3, and Sammy Baseball from the ValleyCats. The judging panel will select four finalists who will be videotaped singing their version of the National Anthem, and then be placed online for fans to vote on a winner.
The winner will get to sing the National Anthem on a selected premium fireworks night at Joseph L. Bruno Stadium, which draws an average of 5,000 fans. Other contestants may be selected to perform at the ballpark as well.
The ValleyCats 2013 home opener is on Monday, June 17. The promotional schedule features 38 unique theme nights including special awareness nights, 14 extravagant fireworks shows, two bobblehead giveaways and more. For all the details, visit the ValleyCats official website www.tcvalleycats.com.
