The Sea Dogs had what looked to be the first goal of the game at 10:48 as the puck banked off Maxime Villemaire in front of the net and into the back of the goal. The marker was called a goal by the official on the ice and was deemed to be propelled in by a kicking motion and called off.

PEI used the call to their advantage to take the first official lead of the game at 14:31 on a marker by Beran.

Shots in the first were 17-7 in favour of the Rocket.

The Rocket extended their lead as Micallef had space at the point and wired a bullet past Auger.

The Sea Dogs got their first real goal of the game at 7:21. Villemaire came streaking into the zone and fired a shot on Bibeau. Izacky picked up the rebound and wrapped it around for his 20th goal of the season.

Jason Cameron had a spectacular shift on the penalty kill late in the second, stealing the puck twice and getting off a great shot only to be absolutely robbed by Bibeau.

Villemaire again did most of the work as the Sea Dogs scored to tie the game up 2-2 with only 18.2 seconds left on the clock in the second period. Villemaire cruised in after stealing the puck in the defensive zone and got a shot off on Bibeau. Another redbound caromed off onto Anderson's stick. Anderson waited out Bibeau and slid the puck past his outstretched pad for his 11th goal of the season.

Saint John also fought back on the shot count in the second period, with teams putting up an even 12 shots apiece.

Villemaire got physical in the third, flattening Deverick Ottereyes into the boards just past the Sea Dogs defensive door.

Laplante put the game into the hands of the Rocket with a goal at 15:24.

Saint John pulled Auger to try and force overtime, but PEI shut the door and earned the 3-2 victory.

Fan Appreciation Night is coming up this Friday at 7:30 p.m. as the Acadie-Bathurst Titan come to Harbour Station.
