Los Angeles D-Fenders News Release
EL SEGUNDO - The Los Angeles D-Fenders today announced a special jersey sponsorship agreement with MGM Resorts International, further expanding the longstanding partnership between the Los Angeles Lakers organization and MGM Resorts. The first sponsorship of its kind for the D-Fenders, the MGM Resorts International logo will now be featured on the front of the team's jerseys this season.
"The D-Fenders new jersey sponsorship is a progressive and exciting addition to the already renowned partnership between the Lakers organization and MGM Resorts," said D-Fenders President/CEO Joey Buss. "We are looking forward to having a strong finish to our season and highlighting MGM Resorts in the process."
MGM Resorts has been a proud supporter of the Lakers franchise since 2006, hosting a Lakers preseason game every year in Las Vegas, NV and sponsoring the popular Lakers halftime contest "Big Shot Jackpot," among other countless endeavors.
"We are incredibly excited to partner with the D-Fenders and to have this level of presence throughout their season," said VP of Brand Strategy and Advertising, Scott Voeller. "Our partnership with the Los Angeles Lakers organization is a program we greatly value, and we hope we will continue to find new and exciting ways to grow our relationship."
The D-Fenders new-look jerseys, adorned with the MGM Resorts logo on the front below the numbers, can be seen when the team hosts the Bakersfield Jam (NBA Affiliates: Atlanta Hawks, Los Angeles Clippers, Phoenix Suns, Toronto Raptors) on Saturday, March 2 at 6:30pm. The game will also be rebroadcast the following day on Time Warner Cable SportsNet at 3pm PST.
