Medicine Hat Tigers News Release
Medicine Hat, AB - Medicine Hat Tigers and ATB Financial have partnered up to hold Lid for Kids on Saturday, February 23rd as the Tigers host the Swift Current Broncos. The event will raise funds for the Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Medicine Hat.
ATB Financial has run the Lids for Kids program in previous seasons with other WHL clubs in Alberta amid great success. The program helps raise money for children's charity through the sale of autographed team hats.
ATB Financial has produced 150 event specific Tigers hats that have each been signed by one current member of the Tigers. Which player will be a surprise to fans though as the autographs will be covered up until the hats been purchased.
The hats will be sold for $20 each and all the proceeds will go to the Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Medicine Hat. The event is a great opportunity to get a unique piece of Tigers memorabilia while helping out a great local charity.
"The Lids for Kids event is another great partnership between the Tigers and Big Brothers/Big Sisters. It goes a long way to help fund the youth mentoring programs that are vital to the community of Medicine Hat. We appreciate ATB Financial for including us in this year's event and we hope to be able to continue with it in the years to come." - Hugh English, Executive Director, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Medicine Hat.
"We're really looking forward to the ATB Financial Lids for Kids event on February 23rd as it's another great way to help give back to the community that supports us. Fans will have the opportunity to purchase a great piece of Tigers memorabilia while helping out a local charity so it's a win-win situation for everyone. ATB Financial has been an amazing supporter of the Tigers. They've already helped us raise $3,470 for the Multiple Sclerosis Society through the Tigers Skills Competition and now we have a chance to raise up to $3,000 for the Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Medicine Hat." - Kiel Owen, Marketing and Sales Executive, Medicine Hat Tigers
