ICE-CAPSules

Goals Still Flowing for Jaffs: After two multi-goal games in the final four games of the IceCaps' most recent home stand, Jason Jaffray has continued his torrid pace finding the back of the net. The captain has six goals in his last seven games, and had a three-game scoring streak snapped in Sunday's loss vs. POR. Three of Jaffray's last six markers have come with the man advantage.

Jets Update: Winnipeg oddly lost all three home games this past week, despite the MTS Centre being known as a tough place to play for opponents. The Jets lost a pair of 3-2 games to the Flyers and Bruins, as well as a 3-1 decision to the Penguins. Last season, Winnipeg went 23-11-4 at home compared to just 11-20-4 on the road. The Jets now embark on a five-game road trip and will play nine of their next 11 games away from MTS Centre.

O'Dell Climbing the Ranks: F Eric O'Dell has emerged as one of the most dangerous IceCaps in the New Year. In his last 18 games, O'Dell has notched 15 points, including eight goals. O'Dell has already surpassed his 2011-12 totals (12G, 10A, 22PTS in 39 games) in three fewer games and will finish the season with new career highs in goals, assists and points.

Pair of Firsts: F Aaron Gagnon has a mini two-game point streak (1G, 1A) and has four points (1G, 3A) in four games since returning from a knee injury that sidelined him for 15 games. Gagnon notched his first goal of the season in Saturday's win at MCH... G Chris Carrozzi made his first start of the season for St. John's on Sunday, making 30 saves on 36 shots in the club's 6-1 loss to the Pirates. On Saturday, Carrozzi was terrific in relief of mark Dekanich, stopping 15-of-16 shots and picking up the win in the IceCaps' 5-3 comeback win over the Monarchs.

Injury Report: Defencemen Derek Meech and Ben Chiarot missed all three weekend games with undisclosed injuries. Also injured: Jason King (head), John Albert (upper body), Hunter Tremblay (head), and Ivan Telegin (undisclosed).
