Panthers Recall Drew Shore

January 21, 2013 - American Hockey League (AHL) - San Antonio Rampage News Release


SUNRISE, Fla. - Florida Panthers Executive VP & General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that C Drew Shore has been recalled from the San Antonio Rampage (AHL). The club has also placed RW Kris Versteeg (lower body) on injured reserve.

Shore, 21, sits second on the Rampage in scoring with 30 points (10-20-30) in 41 games. Playing in his first professional season, Shore was recently selected to play for the Western Conference in the AHL All-Star Game to be held in Providence, R.I. on Monday, Jan. 28.

The Denver, CO native, who would make his NHL debut in the first game he plays, played in three seasons at the University of Denver. The 6-foot-3, 190-pound forward totaled 118 points (50-68-118) and 101 PIM in 123 games, leading Denver in scoring in each of the last two seasons prior to turning pro. Shore was selected in the second round (44th overall) in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft by the Panthers.
