Lightning Acquire J.F. Jacques, Former Crunch Forward Returns to Syracuse

Syracuse, NY- The Tampa Bay Lightning have acquired forward Jean-Francois Jacques from the Florida Panthers in exchange for future considerations, vice president and general manager Steve Yzerman announced today.

Jacques, 27, has played in 24 games this season with the San Antonio Rampage of the American Hockey League, collecting seven points (5g, 2a). The winger was a member of the Crunch during the 2011-12 season as a member of the Anaheim Ducks organization. Jacques skated in 65 games for the Crunch collecting 40 points (21g, 19a).

The Montreal, Quebec native has skated in 166 career NHL games with the Edmonton Oilers and Anaheim Ducks, recording nine goals and 17 points to go along with 197 penalty minutes. Last season Jacques appeared in six games with the Ducks and tallied 12 penalty minutes. Jacques was originally drafted by the Oilers in the second round, 68th overall, in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.

Additionally, the Crunch have recalled defenseman Charles Landry from the club's ECHL affiliate the Florida Everblades and returned forward Alex Hutchings. Landry and Hutchings are both scoreless in three games for the Crunch this season.
