New England Revolution News Release
FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - The New England Revolution will host its fourth-annual Supporters Summit at Gillette Stadium at 6:30 p.m., on Monday, Feb. 4.
The event is exclusively for registered members of the team's two recognized supporters groups "" The Midnight Riders and The Rebellion "" and is not open to the public. The E1 entrance to the Northeast Lounge in the Putnam Club will open at 6:15 p.m.
At the Supporters Summit, supporters have the opportunity to have an open and candid dialogue with club President Brian Bilello and General Manager Michael Burns through the question-and-answer program. In the past, topics such as player acquisitions and strategy, club culture, business objectives, parking and pre-game activities, supporters' away-game travel and security concerns, among other subjects of importance to supporters, have been discussed and debated.
"The Supporters Summit is an excellent opportunity for our supporters to come out and for us to engage and connect with our core fan groups in person and discuss the team matters that they are most passionate about," Bilello said. "Every year, after the Q&A and discussion, we all come away from the Supporters Summit with ideas and feedback that helps us make the supporters' experience better "" not just for those in supporters groups, but for all of our fans."
"We in the Riders feel that Supporters Summit is a great way for the most loyal fans to have their questions answered in a forum that is focused on their game day concerns and issues," Fran Harrington, President of The Midnight Riders, said.
"The annual Supporters Summit is the chance for our official members to meet directly to front office," Rebellion Executive Director Brendan Schimmel said. "Any issues, ideas, feedback and suggestions for the Fort, the club and supporters are open for discussion as we work together to continually improve the section and match day experience. Change doesn't happen by itself, it requires action and this is the first step this season."
