Victoriaville drew first blood with a man-advantage at 2:18. Miceli beat Fournier on a sharp-angle shot from near the goal line while driving wide.

Just after time expired on another power play for the Tigres, Sidlik found himself with time to set up and fired a snap shot past Fournier for a 2-0 lead at 5:45. Cochrane continued the onslaught with another marker at 6:41.

The first ended with no other scoring, and shots were 16-4 in favour of Victoriaville.

Villemaire put the Sea Dogs back into the game with his first goal of the season, a power play marker at 4:15 of the second. The Sea Dogs over-ager picked up a rebound out front and amidst the group in front of the net, knifed the puck across the line.

Izacky, the Sea Dogs leading goal scorer, extended his lead on his 12thmarker of the year at 12:30. Villemaire had a great chance, but just missed the puck on the chance for his second of the game, and the puck came back to Brett Malone. Malone cut in from the point and found Izacky waiting off to the right side of the net, where he fired top shelf to make it 3-2.

Fournier made a great sweeping save on a cutting Tigres forward to keep the game close in the final minutes of the second, with the Sea Dogs down a man.

Halley managed to beat Fournier up high with a quick rising shot at 18:02 on the man-advantage.

Villemaire capitalized once again with a solid shot at 19:48 to bring the difference back to just one goal in the final seconds of the period.

Shots in the second were much closer at 14-12 for Rimouski.

Izacky continued the scoring run, capitalizing on a rebound from a Pierre Durepos point shot and putting the puck past Whitney from the right side of the net at 6:52 of the third. His 13th goal of the year tied the game up at four apiece.

Maillet set up the Tigres fifth goal, putting it on a platter for Cochrane at 8:42 as Victoriaville took back the lead.

Fournier did his best to keep the Sea Dogs close with a diving cover save as Cochrane came steaming towards the puck in front looking for the hat-trick goal.

Halley iced the game with an empty net goal at 19:27 to make the final 6-4. The goal came after the Sea Dogs put on heavy pressure in the Tigres zone with the extra attacker on the ice, but couldn't convert.

The Sea Dogs wrap up the road trip against the Sherbrooke Phoenix tomorrow evening at 5 p.m. Fans can catch all the action by tuning in to Tim Roszell on News 88.9 FM or the TELUS QMJHL Webcast.
