Houston Dynamo Youth Programs Resume 8v8 Champions League

January 11, 2013 - Major League Soccer (MLS) - Houston Dynamo FC News Release

HOUSTON, TX (Friday January 11, 2013) - The Houston Dynamo youth programs, presented by Statoil, today announced the return of the Dynamo 8v8 Champions League on April 5 for the spring 2013 season.

The Houston Dynamo Champions League (HDCL) is a five-week, eight-versus-eight tournament for boys in the U10, U11 and U12 age groups held at Houston Amateur Sports Park. The HDCL features rules designed to encourage a skillful and attack-minded brand of soccer. It also provides the opportunity for players to challenge themselves against players who are currently enrolled in the Houston Dynamo youth development system, and a chance for players to compete under the lights on the professional grade soccer fields at Houston Amateur Sports Park.

Teams may register a roster of up to 15 players and will be grouped into age-appropriate groups of four based on the team's past results, history, and current competitive level. Games will be scheduled for Friday evenings from April 5 to May 3. The registration fee is $300 per team. Interested teams can register here: http://www.eyouthsportsusa.com/cgi-win/ebap.exe?nT105551
