Saint John Sea Dogs News Release
SAINT JOHN - The Saint John Sea Dogs and Acadie-Bathurst Titan met in the first post-Christmas match at Harbour Station in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action Saturday night. The Titan took the contest by a score of 5-1 in front of 4,256 fans.
Stephen Anderson scored the lone goal for the Sea Dogs while Sebastien Auger stopped 35 of 40 shots in the loss. The Sea Dogs dropped to 16-20-0-0.
Patrick Walsh, Adam Stevens, Michael Beaudry, Adam Zboril and Zach O'Brien scored in response for the Titan as Jacob Brennan made 26 saves on 27 shots. Bathurst climbed to 14-20-4-1 in the win.

Auger stepped up early, making an incredible shoulder save less than 30 seconds into the game.
A Bathurst 2-on-1 saw them slip one past the outstretched pad of Auger to open the scoring at 3:46 of the first.
Anderson brought things back to even with a dandy of a wristshot that beat Brennan clean over his left shoulder. The blast was the Sea Dogs first shot on goal as Anderson nabbed his fifth of the year at 4:31 with the man advantage.
The Titan took their second lead of the game at 5:07 on the marker by Stevens.
Shots in the first heavily favoured the Titan at 14-6.
A couple of early second period goals for the Titan made it 4-1. Beaudry made it 3-1 at 3:41 and Zboril extended the lead at 4:57.
Newly acquired Titan forward Robert Pelletier had a break into the Sea Dogs zone in the final minutes of the second, but Auger made a great move and followed the deke all the way and stopping Pelletier with a great pad save.
Shots were 12 apiece in the second.
O'Brien made it 5-1 at 7:19 of the third period to end the scoring.
The Sea Dogs return to action in the annual New Year's Eve against the Moncton Wildcats.
