The first period saw a scoreless effort with shots 12-9 for Halifax. Both goaltenders made fantastic saves in the final five minutes of the opening frame to keep things even.

Fucale looked down and out after diving on a loose puck, but robbed Ryan Tesink by flipping up the pad.

Auger made a glove on a bullet of a wrist shot from the top of the left-wing faceoff circle with about three minutes left to make sure the first ended in a scoreless tie.

The Mooseheads drew first blood early in the first to make it 1-0. Fournier beat Auger just 21 seconds into the second for the score.

Jakub Izacky had a terrific second period, forcing Fucale to make a number of great saves in the second half.

Shots were 9-7 Halifax in the second.

The Sea Dogs tied things up in the third as Anderson parked himself in front of the net and took a pass from Stephen MacAulay coming out behind the net. Anderson backhanded in his fourth of the year at 3:13. Kevin Gagne notched the other assist on the play.

Less than minute later the Mooseheads restored the lead as Boudreau snuck one past Auger at 4:09.

Auger rebounded to make incredible left pad save on Ciampini breaking into the Sea Dogs zone. Auger made an initial blocker save and then made a second, even more impressive save by stretching out the left pad to rob Ciampini on the second chance.

The Mooseheads took over in the late stages of the third. Boudreau scored his second of the game at the 11-minute mark on the man advantage.

Falkenham made it 4-1 at 12:48 and Ryan finished things off at 17:21 of the final period.
