Thunder Fans Support the Children's Home Society

(Trenton, NJ) - The Trenton Thunder baseball team has donated 740 tickets to the Children's Home Society of New Jersey through the support of its fans this holiday season.

For each Season Ticket, Pic-A-Plan and Mini Plan purchased between November 28 and December 21, the Thunder provided tickets for one family to attend a game. Each of the families who received the tickets are part of the Holiday Gift Outreach program run by Children's Home Society.

The annual "Gift of Baseball" holiday sales initiative has raised a total of 5,712 tickets for the families supported by the Children's Home Society since December 2005.

The Children's Home Society of New Jersey provides at-risk children and their families with a range of services that empower them to achieve their potential. They are child-oriented, family focused, community based, and outcome-oriented.

The Trenton Thunder, the Double A Affiliate of the New York Yankees, have donated over $4.7 million in goods, services and monetary donations to community organizations in its 19 year history .

The 2013 Trenton Thunder season will begin on Thursday, April 4 at Portland with the home opener slated for Thursday, April 11 vs. Richmond.
