Bowling Green Ballpark Honored as "Great Park"

Bowling Green, KY - The Bowling Green Hot Rods, Class A Affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays, in conjunction with Baseball America, announce that Bowling Green Ballpark will be featured in the "2013 Baseball America Great Parks Calendar." This is the first time that the Hot Rods home ballpark will be featured in the "Great Parks" calendar.
The prestigious national baseball periodical, Baseball America, publishes its "Great Parks" calendar annually, featuring the top stadiums in all of professional and collegiate baseball. Bowling Green Ballpark gained entrance as the January-featured stadium in the "2013 Baseball America Great Parks Calendar" when it won a Facebook fan vote held this offseason.
Bowling Green Ballpark, home to the Hot Rods since 2009, is a state-of-the-art facility located in downtown Bowling Green, Kentucky. On top of 71 home Hot Rods games, Bowling Green Ballpark hosted over 20 additional events in 2012, including the Sun Belt Baseball Tournament, Easter Fest, WKU Baseball versus the University of Louisville, a local High School Baseball series, Orchestra Kentucky, local Chamber of Commerce events, the JDRF Walk, DSSKY's Buddy Walk, and more.
