
Remparts Outlast Sea Dogs

Saint John Sea Dogs News Release
SAINT JOHN - The Saint John Sea Dogs fell 4-2 to the Quebec Remparts in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action in front of 4,423 fans Saturday night.
Jonathan Huberdeau and Jason Cameron scored for the Sea Dogs while Sebastien Auger stopped 33 of 36 in the loss. The Sea Dogs fell to 14-15-0-0.
Mikhail Grigorenko had two goals and Logan Shaw and Adam Erne added singles in response for the Remparts. Francois Brassard made 32 stops on 34 saves as Quebec climbed 22-8-0-2.

Huberdeau started things off with a bang, as the Sea Dogs took a 1-0 lead just 40 seconds into the game. The teddy bears came flying out of the crowd on the super star's 16th of the season. Kevin Gagne notched an assist as both players extended their points streak to seven games on the play.
The Remparts drew even with a power play marker at 3:12 when over-ager Logan Shaw beat Auger from the point.
Saint John held the edge in shots during the first, outshooting Quebec 11-9.
Quebec took their first lead of the game at 8:34 of the middle frame as Erne put in his second of the year.
Auger made a great pad save just before the 11-minute mark of the second while the Dogs were killing a penalty to keep the game close.
The Remparts had turned up the heat in the second, outshooting the Sea Dogs 16-8.
Grigorenko made it 3-1 Remparts at 1:21 of the final frame with his 28th of the season
Just over a minute later, at 2:24, Cameron brought the Dogs back within one. A sharp-angle shot fooled Brassard for Cameron's second of the year. Aidan Kelly and Andreas Tsogkas grabbed assists on the play.
Auger made another great pad save just after the 11-minute mark of the third as well, and and another, this time spread eagled across the goal line with about seven minutes remaining.
Grigorenko scored his second of the game into the empty net, icing the game at 19:41 of the third.
The Sea Dogs outshot the Remparts again in the third 15-12.
