Hamilton Bulldogs Teaming up with Hamilton Police for Ride Ticket Program

December 4, 2012 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Hamilton Bulldogs News Release

HAMILTON, ONT - Hamilton Bulldogs President Stephen Ostaszewicz announced today that the Club has teamed up with the Hamilton Police to announce their commitment to reduce impaired driving in Hamilton. Drivers who successfully complete RIDE lanes will be issued tickets to upcoming Bulldogs games.

Vouchers will be handed out to motorists and can be exchanged at the Copps Coliseum box office for a ticket to one of eight upcoming 'Dogs games in December and January.

"We thank the Hamilton Bulldogs for partnering with us, for showing their support of this community and its citizens," said Chief Glenn De Caire. "The vouchers they have generously donated are our way of thanking drivers for driving safe." "It's our home-and-home series - drivers who are driving home safely get a ticket to a Hamilton Bulldogs home game."

"The Hamilton Bulldogs are proud to be partnering with the Hamilton Police Service once again this year to reduce impaired driving," said Ostaszewicz. "By supporting police spot checks and the RIDE program, we hope to encourage the public to look for other alternatives to driving impaired, anytime and anywhere."

The Bulldogs' next game is in Syracuse against the Crunch on Friday, December 7th at 7:30 p.m. All 'Dogs games during the month of December will be broadcast on Hamilton's Funny 820 (AM 820), with select games simulcast on Montreal's TSN Radio 690 (AM 690).
