B-Sens Announce Roster Moves

Binghamton Senators News Release


BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - The Binghamton Senators announced today that defenseman Chris Wideman has been reassigned by the club's National Hockey League affiliate Ottawa Senators from Binghamton to the Elmira Jackals of the ECHL.

Wideman, 22, has appeared in six games with the B-Sens this season, recording no points.

Prior to his reassignment to Binghamton on Oct. 26, the 5-10, 170-pound defenseman recorded four assists and was a plus-five through four games with the Jackals this season.

Also today, the Binghamton Senators announced that they have recalled forward Dustin Gazley from Elmira.

Gazley, 24, currently leads the Jackals in points with 19 (six goals, 13 assists) in 16 games.

As a rookie last season the 5-8, 155-pound forward led the ECHL in scoring with 85 points (20 goals, 65 assists) and won ECHL rookie of the year honors. He was also the only Jackals player to dress in all 72 games.

The Jackals see action tonight as they host the Wheeling Nailers at 7:05 p.m.

The B-Sens travel to Glens Falls tonight to face the Adirondack Phantoms at 7 p.m. Fans can listen live on "Binghamton's Classic Hits" BIG 107.5 (WBBI-FM) beginning 15 minutes before game time as Grady Whittenburg, the voice of the B-Sens, hosts the Countdown to Faceoff.
