November 28, 2012 - ECHL (ECHL)
Las Vegas Wranglers News Release
Las Vegas - After two weeks on the road, the Las Vegas Wranglers return home for a three-game series this weekend filled with new teams, live music and a variety of promotions.
The Stanley Cup visits the Orleans Arena on Thursday, Nov. 29, and fans can pose and take photos with the Cup starting at 6 p.m. The first 1,000 fans through the doors will also receive a free 2012 Western Conference Champions poster as the team takes on the San Francisco Bulls, a team new to the ECHL this season, at 7:05 p.m.
On Friday, Nov. 30, the Wranglers wrap up a month of moustaches with specialty Movember jerseys, which will be auctioned off on the arena concourse, and blue foam finger proceeds benefitting the Nevada Cancer Coalition . The team will don these jerseys against the Orlando Solar Bears, another new team making its first trip to Vegas. In honor of Jimi Hendrix's 70th birthday on Nov. 27, Lenny Hendrix will provide live music entertainment throughout the night as well, including a national anthem performance styled after the late legend when the puck drops at 7:05 p.m.
To wrap up the weekend, the 10th annual Teddy Bear Toss takes place Saturday, Dec. 1, at 7:05 p.m. as the Wranglers and Solar Bears meet once again. When the Wranglers score their first goal, fans can throw new stuffed animals onto the ice in celebration to benefit Sunrise Acres Elementary School. After the game, swing musician Louis Prima, Jr. will take center stage for a live concert on the ice.
Tickets are available by calling (702) 471-7825, and more information can be found at lasvegaswranglers.com .
