Roughnecks Set to Open 2012 Training Camp

Calgary, AB - The Calgary Roughnecks are set to open their 2012 training camp starting Saturday, December 1 at Genesis Place, 800 East Lake Blvd. NE, in Airdrie, AB, with the first on-floor session scheduled for 8 p.m. Players and coaches will be available to the media from 12-12:30 p.m. on Dec. 1 at the Scotiabank Saddledome.

Due to limited seating availability at the practice facility, all on-floor sessions over the four-weekend training camp will be closed to the public. For an opportunity to meet the 2013 Calgary Roughnecks and members of the Drill Crew, fans are encouraged to attend the second annual Roughnecks Fan Fest on Sunday, January 13 at the Scotiabank Saddledome. This family-friendly event will feature a lacrosse skills zone, face painters, games and prizing as well as autograph and photo opportunities with the players. Further details will be released closer to the event.

Calgary will play one pre-season game along with hosting a scrimmage in preparation for the start of the 2013 season. The exhibition match-up will see the Roughnecks battle the Colorado Mammoth on Saturday, December 8 at the Langley Events Centre, 7888 - 200 Street, in Langley, B.C. Tickets for the pre-season contest are available at all Ticketmaster locations, online at www.ticketmaster.ca or by phone at 1-855-985-5000. During the third weekend of camp, the Roughnecks will play a scrimmage against the Edmonton Rush on Sunday, Dec. 16, beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Genesis Place.
