The Better Business Bureau of Acadiana held their "2012 Centennial Celebration & Awards Program" last night, November 8th at River Oaks Conference Center. This year's banquet was to celebrate 100 years of service for the BBB, 40 years of service in the Acadiana Area and to honor local businesses. The awards given out to Acadiana businesses each year are the Ethie, Outstanding New Business, Customer Commitment, Good Neighbor and the Integrity Award.
Nominees for the 2012 Integrity Award were the Louisiana IceGators, Dunn's Furniture & Interiors, Manual Builders, Rickey Tucker Custom Homes and Advancial. The Integrity Award is awarded to the business that has gained the respect of the community through programs that promote ethical business practices and principals. Receiving the honor of the award this year, in a tie, were your Louisiana IceGators and Advancial.
IceGators owners Chuck Anselmo, Jr. and Chuck Anselmo, III were thrilled to receive the 2012 Integrity Award. "It is an honor to be recognized by the members of Better Business Bureau for such a distinguished award. Integrity is something my father and I live by and operate our businesses with every day. Working to maintain the highest ethical standards in our office, on the ice and out in the community is very important to us and we thank our business peers for recognizing us for this," said Chuck Anselmo, III.
As a side note, this was the second time owner Chuck Anselmo, III won BBB's Integrity Award. In 2009 he received the Integrity Award for his commercial building company, Allstates Building Systems.
