Colorado Eagles News Release
LOVELAND, Colo. - Over the past several seasons, the Colorado Eagles have been involved in raising an incredible amount of awareness, support & funds for cancer patients and survivors in Northern Colorado, and this season will be no different. The team announced today some of its planned involvement in the "Hockey Fights Cancer" initiative, with several aspects centered around this Friday's preseason game at the Budweiser Events Center.
In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month, the team will once again be sporting special edition pink jerseys for Friday's game against the expansion San Francisco Bulls. The game-worn jerseys will later be auctioned off throughout the season, with proceeds benefitting the Poudre Valley Cancer Center, which will be located on their Harmony campus.
Replicas of the special edition pink jerseys will be on sale (while supplies last) at the team's merchandise stand (behind Section J), along with the team's new 10th anniversary jerseys! A portion of the proceeds from the pink jersey sales will be added to the funds raised through the aforementioned jersey auctions.
In addition, a portion of tickets sales from Friday's game will also be donated to the Poudre Valley Cancer Center cause. Tickets start at just $11 (plus fees), and group tickets (for parties of 15 or more) can be purchased for just $10 each (fees included) by calling the Eagles' office at (970) 686-SHOT (7468)! Group Leader benefits are also available.
There's always strength in numbers, so for the third consecutive year, the Eagles will be teaming up with Pedersen Toyota in the fight against cancer. For every new car sold at Pedersen Toyota in the month of October, the company will take a portion of the sale and combine it with the proceeds raised by the Eagles to benefit the Poudre Valley Cancer Center.
The team will open the 2012-13 regular season on Friday, Oct. 12 with the first of back-to-back games against the Alaska Aces; a complete schedule can be found at www.ColoradoEagles.com. Tickets for all Eagles home games are on sale now and can be purchased at www.ComcastTix.com, the Budweiser Events Center box office, or by calling 1-877-544-TIXX (8499) or 970-686-SHOT (7468).
