Fever Playoffs Rally Scheduled Wednesday Afternoon

October 2, 2012 - Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) Indiana Fever

INDIANAPOLIS - In celebration of its eighth consecutive playoff season and its fifth trip to the conference finals, the Indiana Fever will conduct an Eastern Conference Finals Playoff Rally presented by Kroger on Wednesday, Oct. 3, from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m., at the Nora Kroger located at 1365 E. 86th Street.

Fans will be greeted by Freddy Fever and Indiana Fever players. Cheer cards, fan interactives, ticket and prize giveaways and autograph signing by Fever players highlight the event. The Pacers Fan Van will be present with games and prizes.

Players expected to be on hand for photos and autographs beginning at 5:00 are Tamika Catchings, Briann January, Karima Christmas, Jessica Davenport, Sasha Goodlett and Jeanette Pohlen.

Indiana dispatched the Atlanta Dream 75-64 on Tuesday night to advance past the first round in the WNBA Playoffs. The series victory avenged last year's defeat to the Dream in the conference finals and earned the No. 2-seeded Fever a trip to the East Finals to face top seed Connecticut. Game 1 of the best-of-three-game East Finals is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 5 at 8:00 p.m. in Connecticut. Game 2 will be conducted on Monday, Oct. 8 at Bankers Life Fieldhouse (8:00 p.m.). If necessary, the series will return to Connecticut for a clinching Game 3 on Thursday, Oct. 11 (8:30 p.m.). All games will be televised on ESPN2.

The 2012 Fever Playoffs are presented by Indiana Members Credit Union and Kroger. The Fever is a nine-time playoff participant including a trip to the WNBA Finals in 2009.
