
Former Energy Coach Gene Cross Named Erie BayHawks Head Coach

Des Moines, IA (September 26, 2012) - Former Iowa Energy Assistant Coach Gene Cross was named the new Head Coach of the Erie BayHawks today. Cross becomes the team's third Head Coach in franchise history.
Cross spent the 2011-12 season on the Energy bench, alongside Head Coach Kevin Young, whose bench he also served on with the Utah Flash during the 2010-11 season. Prior to his D-League campaigns Cross spent 15 years in the NCAA coaching ranks at five different universities.
The NBA D-League now features four head coaches from the Energy bench - Kevin Young (current Energy Head Coach); Nick Nurse (Rio Grande Valley); Nate Bjorkgren (Warriors); and Cross (Erie).
Iowa Energy season tickets are now on sale for the 2012-13 season, starting at just $199 per seat and include a number of special benefits.
