Indiana Fever News Release

INDIANAPOLIS - The Indiana Fever has reached the WNBA Playoffs for an eighth consecutive season. Playoff tickets for the Eastern Conference Semifinals go on sale to the public at 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 14 at FeverBasketball.com, the Bankers Life Fieldhouse Box Office and all Ticketmaster outlets.

In honor of the Fever's 8th straight playoff appearance, fans who register at FeverBasketball.com prior to September 14 will receive an exclusive offer of $8 off any lower level Lucas Oil Family Night ticket and receive first access to seats for Home Game 1 of the opening-round playoff series. Lucas Oil Family Night tickets include a voucher for a hot dog, chips, Pepsi product and a Fever t-shirt.

The Fever, 19-9 prior to Wednesday's home date with the Seattle Storm, can secure homecourt advantage in the opening round of the playoffs with one more victory, or one loss by the Atlanta Dream. The first game of the Eastern Conference Semifinals will be played on Thursday, Sept. 27 or Friday, Sept. 28.

Indiana has won 9 of 11 games since the Olympic break while reaching the playoffs for the ninth time in its 13-year history. One more victory not only will clinch one of the East's top two seeds, but will establish Indiana as the first team in WNBA history to boast seven 20-win seasons in an eight-year span. Only the Fever and Los Angeles Sparks have ever won 20 games in seven different seasons. With six games remaining, Indiana is within reach of its club record for wins (22). Indiana won 21 games in each of 2005, 2006, 2007, 2010 and 2011. The Fever won a franchise-record 22 games in 2009.

A WNBA playoff participant in eight straight seasons and nine times since 2002, the Indiana Fever has advanced to the Eastern Conference Finals four times in the past seven years. The Fever continues a three-game homestand at Bankers Life Fieldhouse against Seattle on Sept. 12 (7:00 p.m.) and defending WNBA champion Minnesota on Sept. 14 (7:00 p.m.) For single-game, playoffs and season ticket information, visit FeverBasketball.com or call (317) 917-2500.
