Des Moines, IA (September 10, 2012) - The Iowa Energy have announced open player tryout dates for the 2012-13 NBA Development League season. The Energy will host tryouts in Des Moines as well as Chicago, Denver and Washington, DC.
These tryouts offer players an opportunity to showcase their talents in front of Energy management and coaching staff while they compete to earn an invite to the team's training camp in November. The Energy's 2011-2012 squad featured three players who attended open tryouts. Guard Tom Baudinet and forwards Andrew Drevo and Ben Strong were all signed following their performances at Energy tryout camps. The Energy's tryouts will take place as follows: Washington, DC (September 30th); Denver (October 13th); Chicago (October 20th) and Des Moines (October 21st). Space is limited for all tryouts, and spots are reserved on a first come, first served basis. Pre-registration is recommended.
