
Tuesday's Game Between Patriots and Ducks Rained Out

Central Islip, NY - The Somerset Patriots (25-28, 60-63) and the Long Island Ducks (15-35, 54-65) contest on Tuesday night at Bethpage Ballpark was postponed due to rain. The two squads will play a doubleheader tomorrow beginning at 6:35 p.m. Each game will be seven innings and there will be a 30 minute break in between games.
In game one Roy Merritt (8-8, 3.48 ERA) will pitch for the Patriots against Bobby Blevins (0-0, 3.60 ERA) of the Ducks. In game two Somerset will send Derell McCall (8-5, 4.64 ERA) to the hill and he will in matchup against Jino Gonzalez (0-1, 7.56 ERA) for Long Island.
The 2012 Somerset Patriots season presented by Ford will continue on the road until Friday, September 7th when the Patriots return home to take on the Lancaster Barnstormers at 7:05 p.m. The game features a Post-Game Fireworks Show and Diabetes Awareness Night.
