VANCOUVER, BC - Vancouver Whitecaps FC are proud to announce that registration for the inaugural 2012 Tim Hortons Vancouver Whitecaps FC Coaching Clinic is now open. The clinic is free for all participants, and will take place at BC Place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. PT on Sunday, September 23. Coaches can register online at whitecapsfc.com .

"This is an excellent opportunity for our technical staff to provide some great advice and coaching tips to community soccer coaches," said Whitecaps FC president Bob Lenarduzzi. "We are thrilled to be joining forces with Tim Hortons to provide this opportunity to coaches of all levels, who will help encourage, nurture, inspire, and develop the next generation of athletes."

All coaches are invited to join members of Whitecaps FC's technical staff from the men's, women's, and Residency squads, including Martin Rennie, Paul Richie, Marius Rovde, Craig Dalrymple, and Jesse Symons. Participants will hear from men's first team head coach Martin Rennie, have a chance to learn new drills and coaching techniques, followed by a formal question and answer period.

The event is designed to help participants hone their coaching techniques, which will help soccer players reach their full technical, tactical, mental, and physical potential.

After the clinic, coaches are invited to stay and watch, as Vancouver Whitecaps FC host Western Conference rivals Colorado Rapids. Special ticket rates are available to coaches who attend the clinic. Registration is limited to 1,000 participants, so be sure to sign up early to guarantee a spot.
