Houston Dynamo FC News Release
HOUSTON, TX (Tuesday, August 14, 2012) - The Houston Dynamo youth programs, presented by Statoil, today announced the fall 2012 installment of their Center of Excellence (CoE), a weekly, supplemental training program for boys and girls in the U8, U10, and U12 age groups.
The CoE will be held on Sunday afternoons in Sugar Land (Lost Creek Park), Katy (George Bush Park), and Houston (Moody Park) from Sept. 16 through Nov. 25, 2012. The CoE aims to connect the wider community to the Dynamo and its youth programs though youth soccer.
In addition to the innovative and challenging curriculum used in CoE training sessions, the Dynamo are adding two new playing opportunities: Free Play Fridays and the Houston Dynamo 8v8 Champions League, held at the training home of the Houston Dynamo, Houston Amateur Sports Park (HASP).
Free Play Fridays is a program in which players from the CoE and other Dynamo development programs are invited to play "street soccer" games at HASP.
Registration for the Center of Excellence is $250 per player. Players will receive weekly trainings sessions with qualified Dynamo coaches, a full adidas training kit (jersey, shorts, and socks), free entry into Free Play Fridays, opportunity to play in the 8v8 Champions League, a professional player evaluation at the end of the program and a free companion ticket to an upcoming Dynamo home match at BBVA Compass Stadium.
