MEMPHIS, TN - The Redbirds return to AutoZone Park for the tenth homestand of the season after a four-game series in Sacramento and a four-game series in Fresno. While home, the "ËBirds will host the Tacoma Rainiers (Seattle Mariners) and Salt Lake City Bees (Los Angeles Angels). The Redbirds homestand will be headlined by Elvis î Night on Friday, August 10, E-I-E-I-Olympics on Sunday, August 12 and a replica Organ Donor jersey t-shirt giveaway on Friday, August 17.
Friday, August 10, 2012 - Redbirds vs. Tacoma Rainiers (7:05 p.m.) - Gates open at 5:00 p.m.
- Elvisî Night: The kickoff event for this nine-day commemoration of the life and legacy of the king of Rock "Ën' Roll will begin with a blowout block party in downtown Memphis and an Elvisî themed Memphis Redbirds baseball game. There will be a pre-game performance by Brad Birkdahl and a post-game performance by Ted Torres. The first 5,000 fans to enter the ballpark will receive a commemorative, limited-edition Elvisî bobblehead. In addition to the baseball game, which features the Memphis Redbirds against the Tacoma Rainiers, spectators will enjoy Elvisî music and video throughout the game.
- Budweiser Clydesdales: The Budweiser Clydesdales will be making an on-field appearance pre-game.
- Coors Light Block Party: Gates will open two hours before first pitch for an end-of-the-week party in the front plaza of the ballpark from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. that includes a performance by Memphis All Stars, entertainment by Memphis Sound and 16oz Coors Lights for only $2.
- Fred's Family Friday: Fans can show their receipt from Fred's Super Dollar for $15 or more at the box office and receive $5 off dugout level seating.
Saturday, August 11, 2012 - Redbirds vs. Tacoma Rainiers (6:05 p.m.)
- Salute to Negro Leagues: Former Memphis Red Sox players will be honored on field prior to the game and will be available for autographs during the game on the concourse. The Memphis Redbirds and Tacoma Rainiers will be wearing throwback uniforms, the "ËBirds donned in Red Sox gear while the Rainiers will be wearing Homestead Grays jerseys.
- Face Painting: Face painting will be offered at the Boardwalk before and during the game.
- Signature Saturday: Select Redbird players will sign autographs for a half hour in the plaza from 5:00-5:30 p.m.
- Post-game Fireworks: Fans are encouraged to stay and enjoy post-game fireworks set to Stax-themed music sponsored by Tennessee Education Lottery.
Sunday, August 12, 2012 - Redbirds vs. Tacoma Rainiers (6:05 p.m.)
- E-I-E-I-Olympics: A night sponsored by Cotton Farming Magazine with the Redbirds' tip of the cap to the Summer Olympics. Farm-themed games will include (rubber) chicken shot-put, seed spitting contest, a wheelbarrow race and more.
- Sweet Ticket Deal: Buy one ticket, get one free or save 10% on team merchandise by showing a receipt for any honey purchase at the box office with the sweet ticket deal sponsored by National Honey Board.
- Face Painting: Face painting will be offered at the Boardwalk before and during the game.
- Kids Run the Bases: Kids 12 and under will be able to run the bases after the game sponsored by TennDent.
Monday, August 13, 2012 - Redbirds vs. Tacoma Rainiers (7:05 p.m.)
- Tickets for Peanuts: Every Monday fans can bring a receipt to the box office from Kroger for Jimbo Jumbo's peanuts and receive half off game day ticket prices sponsored by Hampton Farms.
Tuesday, August 14, 2012 - Redbirds vs. Salt Lake City Bees (7:05 p.m.)
- Hot Ticket Deal: Every Tuesday fans can enjoy the Hot Ticket Deal by showing a receipt from Hunt Brothers Pizza at the box office to receive Field Box tickets for only $10 (limit 4) for a $6 savings.
Wednesday, August 15, 2012 - Redbirds vs. Salt Lake City Bees (7:05 p.m.)
- Wet Your Whistle Wednesday: For only $10, fans will receive a field box ticket, 16oz Pabst Blue Ribbon beer and a PBR koozie.
Thursday, August 16, 2012 - Redbirds vs. Salt Lake City Bees (7:05 p.m.)
- Game sponsor: Bethel University is the official sponsor of the game.
- Subway Eat Fresh Thursday: Fans can receive half off game day ticket prices with a receipt from Subway, limit four. There will be a $25 Subway gift certificate given away during the game and if the Redbirds win, Subway coupons will be distributed upon exit.
- Sonic Mystery Card Giveaway: The first 1,500 fans will receive a card with special discounts from Sonic Drive-Thrus.
Friday, August 17, 2012 - Redbirds vs. Salt Lake City Bees (7:05 p.m.)
- Replica Organ Donor jersey t-shirt giveaway: The first 2,000 fans through the gates will receive a replica Organ Donor jersey t-shirt sponsored by the National Foundation for Transplants and AMRO Music.
