Graham Taylor Named SL Pitcher of Week Again

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Jacksonville Suns are proud to announce that LHP Graham Taylor has won Pitcher of the Week honors by the Southern League for the week of July 30th - August 5th. This marks the 2nd time in three weeks that Taylor has won this honor.

Graham Taylor compiled a 1-0 record with a 0.00 ERA in one start for Jacksonville. Taylor threw eight innings of seven hit baseball in leading his team to a 2-0 victory against the Montgomery Biscuits. Taylor struck out five and walked two. Taylor in his last five starts has a 1.19 ERA in 32 innings thrown, while allowing just 25 hits and striking out 21 and walking seven.

This is the third Southern League Pitcher of the Week honor for a Jacksonville Suns player this season. Graham Taylor also won for the week of July 16th - July 22nd. Jose Alvarez won pitcher of the week honors for the week of June 18th - June 24th.
