SUGAR LAND, Texas - Iggy Suarez catapulted the Skeeters into sole possession of first place in the Freedom Division with game-winning RBI single in the bottom of the tenth to complete the four-run comeback over the Riversharks in front of 6730 fans at Constellation Field.

Coming up next...The Sugar Land Skeeters conclude the four-game series with the Camden Riversharks with the finale Sunday evening at Constellation Field. Heath Phillips (1-6, 4.45 ERA) readies himself for his 12th start of the season against righty Keith Weiser (4-5, 4.48 ERA). First pitch is scheduled for 6:05 p.m. CDT. Be sure to come early for pregame catch on the field and team autographs before the game! The Skeeters welcome all area swim clubs to the game in honor of "Swim Club Night" presented by Houston Swim Club. The first 2,000 kids 12 & under to enter the gates will receive a youth t-shirt.

For the first time in the series, the Skeeters scored first when Josh Pressley stepped up to bat in the bottom of the second against interim-starter Eddy Camacho. Pressley swung at a high fastball on a 0-1 count knocking it out of the park for his 11th home run of the season giving the home team a 1-0 lead. However, Camacho left with the lead after working five innings giving up just the one run on five hits while striking out four.

Kelvin Villa worked the spot-start for the Skeeters with the absence of Bobby Livingston and pitched admirably allowing just three scattered hits and no runs in four innings of work. Sean Morgan came in to pitch in the fifth, but the righty recorded just one out before he was taken from the game after allowing a solo home run (4) to Paddy Matera with one out to tie the game, 1-1, and an RBI single to Eduardo Perez with two on in scoring position to take the lead, 2-1. Jeff Farnsworth relieved Morgan and faced just one batter thanks to an inning-ending 6-4-3 double play.

After a scoreless sixth inning, the Riversharks increased their lead to three with two runs of Farnsworth. With runners on first and second after two singles from Chris Walker and Delwyn Young, Perez knocked Walker in from second to push the lead to 3-1 with a single of his own. After Pedro Feliz hit a single to load the bases, Farnsworth walked Raul Padron to bring in the fourth run, 4-1.

Garrett Parcell came in to pitch to finish out the seventh inning, but in the eighth, Jake Eigsti knocked his fifth home run of the season off the righty to push the lead up to four, 5-1. Yet, the game remained tight through the later innings despite the score, especially when the Skeeters came to bat in the bottom of the eighth.

Josh Walter started the inning but was unable to record an out before he was yanked after giving up a leadoff single to Octavio Martinez, a hit-by-pitch to Dominic Ramos and a bases loaded two RBI double to Bubba Bell to cut the lead down to two, 5-3. Zach Hammes entered the game to replace Walter, but the new right hander walked the first three batters he faced allowing the Skeeters to tie the game without swinging a bat, 5-5.

Iggy Suarez grounded into an inning double play with the bases loaded to end the inning, but the shortstop found retribution in the final at-bat of the game in the bottom of the tenth. Gary Majewski (4-2) pitched two scoreless innings in the ninth and tenth before Spencer Steedley (3-1) made his way to the mound for the bottom of the latter inning.

Jason Lane grounded out to short to start the inning and Matt Hagen did the same to second to quickly put two outs on the board before Aaron Bates knocked a two-out triple off the left-center field wall to get on base. Steedley intentionally walked Steve Moss to get to Suarez, which turned out to be the decision of the game. After taking the first pitch for a strike, Suarez creamed a fastball into left over Perez allowing Bates to score the game-winning run without a throw. The Skeeters have now played in seven one-run games in the second half of 2012 winning four of them.
