New Hampshire Fisher Cats News Release
ALTOONA, Pa. - Due to heavy rain and a bleak forecast, Thursday night's Fisher Cats series opener with the Altoona Curve was rained out at Peoples Natural Gas Field. The clubs will now play a doubleheader on Friday night beginning at 6 PM. The twinbill will feature two seven-inning games with approximately 30 minutes between each game.
The Fisher Cats are slated to pitch RHP Yohan Pino (5-5, 3.96) in game one followed by RHP John Stilson (2-2, 4.11). Altoona is expected to throw RHP Phil Irwin (9-8, 3.42) and RHP Brandon Cumpton (9-8, 3.42). Radio coverage begins at 5:45 PM with Tom Gauthier on the WGIR Fisher Cats Radio Network and www.nhfishercats.com.
The Fisher Cats return home for a six-game stand on Tuesday, July 31, with Fire Fighter Appreciation Night. Following the lead of Bank of New Hampshire, which donated $1,000, the Fisher Cats will donate 50% of $10 and $12 ticket sales to the Muscular Dystrophy Association when fans mention 'MDA' or 'FIREFIGHTERS' at the ticket window. The first 1,000 fans will receive a stress reliever fire truck courtesy of Bank of New Hampshire. For tickets and a full list of promotions for the homestand, visit www.nhfishercats.com.
