Ice Bears Release 2012-2013 Season Schedule

July 23, 2012 - Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) Knoxville Ice Bears

KNOXVILLE, TN (July 23, 2012) - The Knoxville Ice Bears proudly announce the release of the 2012-2013 regular season schedule. The Knoxville Ice Bears will kick off the 2012-2013 SPHL campaign in October for their 11th season of hockey in Knoxville

The Knoxville Ice Bears will start on the road with a match-up with longtime rival Fayetteville on October 26 at the Crown Coliseum. The Ice Bears' first home game will be Friday, November 2 as they host their closest neighboring team, the Huntsville Havoc.

Knoxville will play an unbalanced schedule to better accommodate travel and available home dates. The Ice Bears will play Fayetteville twelve times this season while only playing the Ice Flyers and Surge three times. The remaining five teams will cover the balance of the schedule.

In part of the off season activities, the Knoxville Ice Bears will be hosting a Charity Golf Classic. The event will run from 11:30 am to 5 pm on Thursday, October 4, 2012.
