SAN ANTONIO (July 13, 2012) - American Hockey League (AHL) President and CEO David Andrews has announced that the San Antonio Rampage have been recognized as the 2011-12 AHL Ticket Sales Department of the Year and are the Western Conference's recipient of the 2011-12 Outstanding Fan Experience Award

The announcement came Thursday during the presentation of the AHL's annual Team Business Service awards recognizing outstanding achievements in a variety of categories including ticket sales, community service, and fan experience at the league's Marketing Meeting in Rochester, N.Y.

"We are honored to be recognized by the AHL with these two awards," said Ryan Snider, Director of Hockey Business Operations for Spurs Sports & Entertainment. "The collective efforts of all of our staff have made Rampage games such an affordable night out for great sports action and fun for all ages."

The Rampage set a franchise record in attendance for the fourth consecutive season welcoming an average of 7,134 fans to the AT&T Center, an increase of 11% from the 2010-11 campaign, and surpassed the 2,000,000 million mark in total attendance on March 22. The club also posted a 61% increase in season ticket sales, which ranked #1 in the 30-team AHL. Since 2007-08, the Rampage have witnessed their individual game attendance grow by 57%.

The Rampage continued to set the standard for in-game excellence promoting such community initiatives as "Pink in the Rink", "Military Appreciation Night", "Salute to the Badges", and "Pucks and Paws". The second annual "Pink in the Rink" night attracted a single-game franchise record crowd of 16,151 to the AT&T Center.
