
Stars Sign Defenseman Tyler Sloan to One-Year, Two-Way Contract

Cedar Park, TX - The Dallas Stars announced Friday that the club has signed defenseman Tyler Sloan to a one-year, two-way contract.
Sloan, 31, spent the 2011-12 season with the Milwaukee Admirals in the American Hockey League (AHL), skating in 62 games, scoring one goal and nine assists for 10 points with a plus-12 rating.
The 6-foot-4, 207-pound defenseman has played in 99 NHL games, all as a member of the Washington Capitals, earning four goals and 13 assists for 17 points in parts of three seasons with the club. He has also appeared in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, earning one assist in four games with Washington.
A native of Calgary, Alberta, Sloan has spent the majority of his professional hockey career playing in the AHL with the Syracuse Crunch and the Hershey Bears.
