Rivermen Announce Jersey Design Contest

The Peoria Rivermen have announced that they will be holding a contest that will allow fans to design a jersey to be worn during the 2012-13 season. The contest, which is open to the general public, will reward the winning designer with a customized version of their jersey, public recognition, as well as four tickets to the game in which the jerseys will be worn.

"We know from talking to our fans that they have some really creative ideas for what they would like to see a Rivermen jersey look like," said Rivermen Chief Operating Officer Jason Penning. "This gives us a new way to connect with our fans will give us a great new look for the night."

These jerseys will be auctioned off after a yet-to-be-determined game during the 2012-13 season, with the proceeds to benefit the Children's Hospital of Illinois.

Hockey fans with graphic design skills and a creative imagination are encouraged to submit their jersey design by emailing it to jerseycontest@rivermen.net. A
