Pensacola Blue Wahoos News Release
The Blue Wahoos had a great crowd at Pensacola Bayfront Stadium to welcome them back home. Fans who arrived early got to get autographs from some of the Blue Wahoos players on the concourse.
In the game, the Wahoos fell short 4-2. The Jackson Generals got a solo home run on the second pitch of the game and never trailed from there. Fireballing closer Carter Capps finished off the Wahoos in the ninth. He lit up the stadium radar gun with a 100 MPH fastball to finish the game.
The fun continues on Wednesday night with another 'What's Happening Wednesday.' This week, we salute summer. Wear your favorite beach gear and join our beach theme night because what goes better with summer than a trip to the beach!
Also bring some canned food goods for a great cause and help us replenish the flood ravaged supply at the Manna Food Pantry. Canned food items will be collected at the gates upon entry.
